Regional Vice President Joseph Theriot Honored As Soldier For Life By U.S. Army



On August 22, Regional Vice President Joseph Theriot was honored with a Soldier for Life award at the U.S. Army 1st Armored Division Association’s annual reunion in Tampa. Theriot, a retired 1st Sergeant with the U.S. Army, has been a member of the Association, which represents 1st AD soldiers who have served in all wars since World War II forward, for 24 years. For the last 19 of those years, Theriot has headed the association and coordinated and hosted the Division’s reunions during that time. A 21-year military veteran, Theriot served three tours in Germany and deployed in Iraq during the Persian Gulf War. According to their Mission Statement, Soldier for Life connects Army, governmental, and community efforts to build relationships that facilitate successful reintegration of retired and active soldiers, veterans, and their families to keep them Army Strong and instill their values, ethos, and leadership within communities. Making the presentation is Ann Bollinger, a member of the Board of Directors of the First Armored Division Association.
