Kristi's Hawaiin Vacation

Here are some vacation pictures from our cousin, Kristi Babin. She is Monique's daughter. Uncle Jack & Aunt Sue's granddaughter. Attached are some pictures from my recent trip to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. While in Kona, I fished in a three day Blue Marlin tournament. Unfortunately our fishing team didn't win, but I did catch my first Blue Marlin and my first Wahoo. I've attached a picture of the 200 pound Blue Marlin that I tagged and released, which by the way won me a free pair of Maui Jim sunglasses of my choice!!! I also caught a 60 pound Wahoo which didn't count as points in the tournament, but it was still quite a thrill to fight and real it into the boat! I've also attached a picture of a cliff that we jumped off of into the> ocean. It was quite scary and I actually had to warm up by jumping off of the 30 foot edge before jumping off of the 40 foot edge. The water was beautiful, but it was so much saltier than the water here in the Gulf of Mexico. As you know, Hawaii is famous for its delicious homegrown coffee beans. Everywhere you turn there are different shops selling gourmet coffee. This> one coffee shop in particular caught my eye. There where large stuffed animal like coffee beans sitting in lawn chairs. I guess these were the "mascots" for the shop, but the coffee beans resembled two large turds (excuse my language). I thought it was the funniest thing I had seen since I landed in Honolulu, and just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a quick picture with the bean. Needless to say, the owner of the coffee shop was a bit offended that I thought her coffee beans looked like turds, but she still laughed and allowed me to pose with it. There was also an extremely tall tree on the roadside near the house I was staying. Everyday when I would drive down the mountain I would slow down to check out this tree. So, on my last day in Kona I stopped to take a picture near it. As you can see in the picture, I am quite small standing near the huge tree
