At dusk last evening Jackie was innocently casting with a fly and bright yellow float for bream when all of a sudden at 15 feet away this monster surfaced by the wharf. Best I could tell from snout to eyes was about 18 to 20 inches, only half out of water, and I guesstimated 7 feet on surface and that much more under water!! Awesome but could have easily been soaking my feet as I do some time off the wharf. Fait attention, cher. Sue drove up with her car and came to the wharf and also observed this huge gator.
This early a.m., July 4th, walking on the headland by the camp observed a much less threatening view; two fawns and a doe, but had left my camera at the camp.
